The Final Leg of our Bike Ride through Dogwood Canyon.
Crossing the Arkansas Border…
Another Waterfall at the End of the Trail…
Full of Golden Rainbow Trout!!!!
Seeing the Golden Rainbow Trout was a real treat for me! I’d never seen one before and was happily snapping picture after picture. The one on the left is my favorite photo of these beautiful fish.
“…Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

With the ocean on one side and mountains on the other, this boardwalk made for a perfect path in which to do some pondering! This picture was taken in the evening as the sun was setting upon the Pacific Ocean along the central California coast.
Moonstone Beach Drive in Cambria, California.
A walk along Moonstone Beach near the little seaside town of Cambria—tucked in among the mountains of the Central California Coast—provided my husband and I with plenty of photo opportunities. Here is a picture of some seals resting amid the waves, which repeatedly crashed against the rocks. The way these animals seem so oblivious to the constant water spray reminded me of the verses in Psalms that I have attached to this picture.
It’s always fun meeting new people on the trail. These two ladies were the only other ones we saw the morning my husband and I hiked the Cold Springs Nature Trail. We took turns passing each other while pausing every so often to gaze upon the beauty of nature.
My favorite magazine, Creation Illustrated, has published another one of my adventure stories!
Silent Giants features a hike through Redwood Canyon, located in Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Parks, along with a flashback to a nighttime bear encounter while on a backpacking trip to Emerald Lake, in the same park.
Creation Illustrated is full of stories and beautiful pictures, all focused on God and His creation. Along with several outdoor adventure hikes, it also includes:
- A Lens on Creation
- Creation Day
- My Walk with God
- Gardens From Eden
- Genesis Cuisine
- Children’s Story
- Youth Photo Contest
- And more…
Yes! My husband and I were able to enjoy a stroll along the Cold Springs Nature Trail this week. This trail is located in the remote Mineral King Region of Sequoia National Park, part of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range in Central California.
It did not disappoint! This two-mile path rambled along through fields of wildflowers and hugged the East Fort of the Kaweah River, where several small, rushing waterfalls helped to make our day special.
During the rest of this month, I will feature a different picture of this magnificent nature trail and pair it with a praise to the Creator who makes all nature beautiful! Enjoy!
