My favorite magazine, Creation Illustrated, has published another one of my adventure stories!
Silent Giants features a hike through Redwood Canyon, located in Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Parks, along with a flashback to a nighttime bear encounter while on a backpacking trip to Emerald Lake, in the same park.
Creation Illustrated is full of stories and beautiful pictures, all focused on God and His creation. Along with several outdoor adventure hikes, it also includes:
- A Lens on Creation
- Creation Day
- My Walk with God
- Gardens From Eden
- Genesis Cuisine
- Children’s Story
- Youth Photo Contest
- And more…
Yes! My husband and I were able to enjoy a stroll along the Cold Springs Nature Trail this week. This trail is located in the remote Mineral King Region of Sequoia National Park, part of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range in Central California.
It did not disappoint! This two-mile path rambled along through fields of wildflowers and hugged the East Fort of the Kaweah River, where several small, rushing waterfalls helped to make our day special.
During the rest of this month, I will feature a different picture of this magnificent nature trail and pair it with a praise to the Creator who makes all nature beautiful! Enjoy!
Aspens & Wildflowers along the Cold Springs Nature Trail in Sequoia National Park
This little book has been the guide to my best adventures in Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks.
Each summer, for the past nine years, I’ve slowly, one by one, hiked one or more of the magnificent trails found in the pages of this book.
Now, I have six left.
If it all works out, next week another one will be explored: The Cold Springs Nature Trail. This trail is located in a part of Sequoia National Park that I have yet to visit. Needless-to-say, I’m very excited about this upcoming adventure.
I hope to post a description of the hike along with pictures next week.
